Light rain

Triple is on wind hold.

Overnight was a bit April, so yesterday’s ending trail count of sixty-seven could tick down a few once Patrol surveys the hill.  But, by looking at it from base, it may only be a handful at the most – still lots of snow out there.

Speaking of snow; our neck of the woods is forecasted to maybe see a couple inches over the next 24 – 36 hours during this slow moving low pressure system that’s sweeping in from our west.  We’ll keep you posted if/when things turn white.

Our grooming team was able re-surface around twenty trails, so expect machined groomed conditions on those, and variable conditions on the balance.  Seven lifts are scheduled to spin today; lower mountain (except Tramside Carpet) is slated for 8:30a followed by Tram, Bonnie and Triple at 9:00a.  Last chair, for all lifts, is at 4:00p.

Lift tickets can be purchased at both Stateside and Tramside Customer Service locations; $69 for adults (ages 19+) and $55 for juniors (ages 6-18).

Don’t forget, next year’s Judge Season Pass is on sale now. For those that purchase now, you’ll get to ski or ride the rest of this season, as well as all of next year. Early rates expire May 12th; click HERE to learn more or call Customer Service at 802-327-2321 to purchase today.

All Of The Lights

By Andrew, on Wed, Oct 31, 2012

Be a part of the peak, literally. To eternally commerorate the unknown skier and rider at Jay, we are building an artsy fartsy light structure, compiled from the fallen edges of yester-shred. No need for a modern art degree to help with this one, but we are asking for your retired equipment. What better way can you personally leave a mark at Jay (beyond stickers and yellow snowbanks)?

We are collecting 75 submissions to complete the peak light shred shrine. May your second-hand serenade pay hommage to the snow gods and grant you good shred Karma for future turns.

If you answer yes to the following, that's a good start:

  • Do you ski or snowboard?
  • Are you in a giving mood?
  • Do you have any old shred sticks that need a new home (other than the dumpster or the seat of a bench)?
  • Care to share a read-worthy moment about your old equipment or a few last words (maybe even a Haiku)?
  • Do you know how email works?

How to play:

  • Send your stories to alanoue@jaypeakresort.com. If we like what you wrote, we will reply back with a confirmation email, requesting your board or skis for our new light.
  • If you are selected for the light, be sure to leave your John Hancock on your gear so you can prove it to your friends when you visit.

Thanks for playing.
