Clouds and Wind

The Flyer and Jet are now open to the public. Conditions on the mountain are great, if you like soft spring snow. Currently 26 trails are open and 8 of our lifts are spinning till 4pm.

The heavy winds that have been delaying lifts all day are actually helping to push this warm weather out, and bring in the cold temps needed to start making snow this afternoon.

Our Snowmaking plan is to fire up the snow guns, and blast Can Am and Taxi when temperatures drop this afternoon. After a 36 to 48 hour bombardment from snowmaking, those trails should have enough snow to last till May.

Help us ring in 2015 the right way; music, dancing and fireworks. Northstar Fireworks will kick off the night with an on-mountain display. Following the fireworks, The Grift [back for their fourth year] will get the party started in our Foeger Ballroom. This party is 18+ and costs $10.

If you're driving up here for the first time and plan on using a GPS, read this.

We Want Your Old Skis and Boards
Retire your classic skis/boards on at the Sky Haus.

Cleaning out your gear closet to get ready for the season? Have some great old skis or boards that have incredible sentimental value, but will likely never see the light of day? We want one of the skis or the board, and the story behind them, for use as light fixtures at the new and improved Sky Haus. We have once again teamed up with master light crafter and ace recycler/re-purposer, Steve Conant of Burlington’s Conant Metal and Light to create a platform that will both illuminate and commemorate.

Send us a picture or description of your favorite old ski or board to alanoue@jaypeakresort.com. If selected, be sure to sign those dusty decks with your John Hancock, and get them here soon.
