Sunshine and Powder

For those of you who braved the cold temps, got rewarded with 7-11” of fresh, windblown powder. Some drifts were 2+ feet, while others were a mere inch. Tonight we’re expecting another 1-2” of snow. Tomorrows weather is looking a lot like today, just with less wind.

When the lifts stop spinning join us in the Bullwheel bar for Après from 4-7PM, with live music from Hoopla.

Lower Mountain lifts are scheduled to spin at 8:00AM with Upper Mountain lifts slated to spin shortly after at 8:30AM. As always final chair is at 4:00PM. Lift tickets are $72 for adults ages 19+ and $57 for juniors ages 6-18.

Great Big Kingdom

Jay Peak Resort and Burke Mountain are now owned by the same parent company led by Jay Peak CEO Bill Stenger and his partner Ariel Quiros.  Together, Ariel and Bill have developed Jay Peak into a year round, successful resort and have plans to improve Burke in the same, thoughtful, deliberate way. In just a few months, along with Burke's existing management team, they have fast tracked dramatic improvements to the mountain's snowmaking system aiming for an early start and later close to the 2012+13 ski ride season.

But Jay Peak and Burke have more in common than just being subsidiaries of the same company.  They're more like brothers, really.

And like good brothers, they share. This season all lift tickets included in any Jay Peak lodging package will be completely transferrable to Burke Mountain.  So, if you're booking more than a night, be sure to plan a day to head down to Burke.  Visit their site to learn more about the mountain.
