3-5” and counting

White Friday update: we’ve received 3-5” of snow since this morning, and it’s still coming down. Conditions on the mountain for this early in the season are well beyond our expectations; get out there and see for yourself.

With perfect snowmaking conditions on the horizon, our crusty Snowmakers plan on burying Upper and Lower Goat Run for the next 24hours. Once their run is complete, our Groomers will till and smooth out the whalebacks for Sunday skiing and riding. That means the Green Mountain Flyer is scheduled to open this Sunday, not tomorrow. Our apologies for the miss-communication, but we think you’ll like the finished product.

Lift tickets are priced at $49 for adults (ages 19+) and $39 for juniors (ages 6-18).

Join us and NEKCA Food Shelf in assisting those in need.  Bring a bag of canned goods (bag is considered 3 or more items) to Stateside Ticket Booth on Saturday, 11/29 and you'll receive a complimentary pass to the Pump House Indoor Waterpark.

Great Big Kingdom

Jay Peak Resort and Burke Mountain are now owned by the same parent company led by Jay Peak CEO Bill Stenger and his partner Ariel Quiros.  Together, Ariel and Bill have developed Jay Peak into a year round, successful resort and have plans to improve Burke in the same, thoughtful, deliberate way. In just a few months, along with Burke's existing management team, they have fast tracked dramatic improvements to the mountain's snowmaking system aiming for an early start and later close to the 2012+13 ski ride season.

FUTURE PLANS FOR BURKE MOUNTAIN

But Jay Peak and Burke have more in common than just being subsidiaries of the same company.  They're more like brothers, really.

GET THE FULL STORY

And like good brothers, they share. This season all lift tickets included in any Jay Peak lodging package will be completely transferrable to Burke Mountain.  So, if you're booking more than a night, be sure to plan a day to head down to Burke.  Visit their site to learn more about the mountain.
