Well, we received three to five inches of snow last night.  Bad news; most of it won't be skiable due to the quick drop in temperature when rain switched to snow.  The terrain is most certainly Variable with a side of Frozen Granular - some spots you'll enjoy decent April powder turns, and in others, you'll be lucky to sink an edge. 

We're currently showing 48 trails open for skiing or riding, but due to the aforementioned, Patrol is likely to drop that number.  Lift operations are in question too, as we're taking on a bit of wind, so check back in around 7:45a for today's schedule. 

Lift tickets can be purchased at both Stateside and Tramside Customer Service locations; $69 for adults (ages 19+) and $55 for juniors (ages 6-18).

Don’t forget, next year’s Judge seasons pass is on sale now. For those that purchase now, you’ll get to ski or ride the rest of this season, as well as all of next year. Hotel Housekeeping Manager

Jay Peak Resort is currently seeking applicants for Hotel Housekeeping Manager at the Tram Haus Lodge.  The Tram Haus Lodge offers a mix of studio, 1-, 2- and 3-bedroom suites, all of which include either a kitchen or kitchenette.  This individual is responsible for directing the housekeeping activities within THL in a manner that will ensure all lodging guests are provided a clean, attractive, secure place to stay with friendly, attentive service.  Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to: providing leadership, training, monitoring and evaluations necessary to ensure that the Jay Peak cleanliness brand standards are followed; recruiting, interviewing, hiring, orienting, and training new housekeeping staff as well as updating the training of existing housekeeping staff members; cleaning rooms or works in laundry.  This manager will oversee a staff of approximately 15-20 employees during the winter months.  The ideal candidate will have management/supervisory skills as well as hotel housekeeping experience.  Interested applicants should submit a completed application, resume, and three references to Human Resources at or 830 Jay Peak Road, Jay, VT 05859.

Jay Peak Resort is currently seeking applicants for the role of Human Resources Manager. This individual will be responsible for overseeing and executing many of the key functions within HR including employment, compensation, labor relations, benefits, training, and employee services.  Responsibilities and duties include but are not limited to: development, maintenance and administration of all company policies and procedures; analysis of wage and salary reports; identification of legal requirements and government reporting regulations; coordination of management training; administration of performance review program.  The HR Manager will directly supervise a staff of 2-4 employees within the HR department.  Education Requirements: Fifth year college or university program certificate; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Professional in Human Resources Certification preferred but not required.  Qualified applicants should submit a completed application, cover letter, and resume to Human Resources at or 830 Jay Peak Road, Jay, VT 05859.

Sous Chef

Jay Peak Resort is currently seeking a Full Time Seasonal Sous Chef. The Sous Chef works under the direction of the Head Chef to ensure quality of food, control costs, product rotation, assist with ordering and monthly inventories and participates in the creation of menus, daily specials and special events. Other responsibilities will include overseeing kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef by directing kitchen staff, enforcing policies and procedures, ensures cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen and maintaining high morale among staff. Jay Peak Resort is currently seeking Housekeepers to work within the team. Housekeepers are responsible for maintaining the highest quality of cleanliness and overall appearance of condo and hotel units. Duties include vacuuming, sweeping/mopping, dusting/polishing, changing linens and making beds, cleaning kitchen and bathroom areas, replenishing guest amenities and reporting any lost items and maintenance problems. Jay Peak Resort is currently seeking Lifeguards for the Pump House Indoor Water Park. Training and uniform (t-shirt and board shorts) will be provided. All Water Park positions will monitor activities in swimming areas to prevent accidents and provide assistance to swimmers and other guests. Must demonstrate exceptional customer service attitude, and have good communication skills. Must have full availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, and be at least 16 years of age or older. E.O.E.

Shallow Water Lifeguard: Applicant must swim 50 yards (crawl or breast stroke) without resting, swim 10 feet in 4 feet of water, and retrieve a brick to surface.

Special Facilities Lifeguard: Applicant must swim 200 yards (crawl or breast stroke) without resting, tread water for 2 minutes using legs only, and retrieve 10 pound brick from 8 feet of water.

Guest Services Agent

Part time

Jay Peak Resort is currently seeking a part time Guest Services Agent to work in the Pump House Indoor Water Park. The Guest Services Agent greets resort guests, sells tickets, answers general resort inquiries, and serves as the main information center for the water park. Qualified candidates must have excellent customer service skills and the ability to remain calm in challenging situations.This position requires exceptional customer service skills. The ability to maintain a professional appearance and willingness to assist guests and co-workers at all times is a must.  E.O.E

Jay Peak Ski Club Head Coach


The Jay Peak Ski Club (JPSC) is looking for a Head Coach & Program Director for the 2014-2015 season and beyond.  This person will direct and manage JPSC’s training activities for our roughly fifty Wishful (U7) through U16 athletes.  The responsibilities include mentoring & training new coaches, being JPSC’s main liaison with USSA, setting the training plan & agenda for the season, assisting in hiring of new coaches and being the lead coach for one of our age groups.  Requirements for this position include:

  • USSA level 200 certification at a minimum.
  • Prior experience managing a race team.
  • A mindset of wanting to train all athletes to be great racers and strong overall skiers.
  • An energetic individual who wants to help grow our program.
  • College degree in a field related to athletics or the ski industry.

Our alumni and athletes have represented us at States, Can-Am, Junior Olympics and Sochi Olympics.  We have a brand new club house as of this season.  With Jay Peak’s huge growth, our club is growing too!  Interested parties please email resume and salary requirements to Tim Farwell at
