Shuttle Driver

Lifeguards

Jay Peak Resort is currently seeking Lifeguards for the Pump House Indoor Water Park. Training and uniform (t-shirt and board shorts) will be provided. All Water Park positions will monitor activities in swimming areas to prevent accidents and provide assistance to swimmers and other guests. Special Facilities Lifeguard: Applicant must swim 200 yards (crawl or breast stroke) without resting, tread water for 2 minutes using legs only, and retrieve 10 pound brick from 8 feet of water.

Ski Patroller

Patrollers are needed for full time positions, Monday through Friday throughtout the season. Patrollers need to have either OEC, EMT, WEMT or WFR first aid certifications. Terrain Park Manager

Jay Peak Resort is currently seeking to fill the position of Terrian Park Manager.  This individual is responsible for supervising the Jay Peak Terrain Park Department and oversees the design, layout, construction and maintenance of Freestyle Terrain.  Jay Peak’s Ski & Ride School uses a Terrain Based Teaching method which involves sculpted learning terrain and freestyle parks specifically designed to create intuitive, low consequence learning environments.  This includes a Burton Riglet Park, two base area learning areas and three terrain parks. The Terrain Park Manager works closely with the Ski & Ride School and its instructors and is vital to the success of the school and its guests. Ski & Ride School-Children’s Program Supervisor

Jay Peak is currently seeking to fill the position of the Jay Explorers Supervisor. Our Jay Explorers program is for 3-10 year old skiers and snowboarders at every ability level. We utilize facilities at both base areas but mostly the new Mountain Kids Adventure Center at the Stateside base. The resort’s dedicated snowmaking and grooming staff delivers cutting edge Terrain-Based Learning features in addition to our one-of-a-kind Toy Story themed, Burton Riglet Park. The Jay Explorers Supervisor will work closely with the other Ski & Ride School supervisors in helping to oversee the day to day operations of the school with a focus on the Explorers program. This person needs to be able to work in a fast paced work environment that the child’s experience is of the utmost importance. They need to be able to work well with other staff and supervisors and oversee their instructors and indoor staff in a friendly and professional manner.   E.O.E.

Minimum Experience needed:

5 seasons teaching skiing or snowboarding, especially in the children’s program preferred.
1 year supervisory experience with a ski and ride school or over 5 seasons of teaching experience
Must have at least a PSIA or AASI level I certification by end of 2014-15 season.
Experience as a ski & ride school trainer highly recommended, Advanced Children Educator (ACE) preferred

Ski Club Race Coaches

The Jay Peak Ski Club is looking for Race Coaches for the 2014-2015 season to assist our new head coach, Mike Gallagher. Candidates should have a ski racing background, ski teaching background or ideally a race coaching background. Time commitment is weekends, 12/6/14 thru 3/29/15 as well as the entire week of 12/21/4 thru 12/27/14. Pay rate varies depending on experience.
