Lodging Bureau Director
Jay Peak Resort is looking to hire a Lodging Bureau Director.  This position will be responsible for overseeing, managing and maintaining entire scope of the Jay Peak Vacation Reservations/Lodging Bureau, including on-site and on-line systems.  Manages both the on-site and satellite reservation departments and has lateral management responsibility for any on-campus reservation processes.  Will participate in the creation of rates, policies and procedures as they relate to package reservations.  This is a full time, year round position, to include a full benefit package.  Candidates for this position should have 3-5 years experience in sales, to include management responsibilities.  A technical understanding of reservation-based software and hardware requirements a plus, though not required. Ski and Snowboard Instructors
Jay Peak Ski Resort is currently recruiting for 2008/2009 season Ski & Snowboard Instructors.  Full and Part-time opportunities available, salary is $8.01-$12.65 per hour.  Season is from mid-November through April 30, 2009.

Duties include (but are not limited to):
-Instructing guests (elementary to advanced level) in the sport of either skiing or snowboarding, ensuring a quality and safe experience.
-Attends morning and afternoon lineups on days scheduled to work
-Receives assigned guests at level (beginner to advanced) to be instructed.
-Instructs guests in correct use of ski lifts, both surface and above ground.
-Instructs guests in alpine skiing or snowboarding, using chosen techniques embraced by Jay Peak’s Snowsports School.  Involves:
          -Torso bending and stretching
          -Lower limb flexing and bending; arm flexing and bending
          -Twisting of neck, head and shoulder
          -May involve lifting of small children up to 50 lbs
-Participates in junior or senior racing activities, if assigned, teaching racing techniques embraced by Snowsports School.
-Officiates at ski race or other promotional events, assists in setting up of races, timing and training regimes.
-Participates in casual entertainment of guests as part of the planned Ski Week activities, socializing with adults and children.
