Here comes the snow (du du du du), here comes the snow and I say it’s alright. Our Mountain Forecaster's calling for 6-12” over the next 3 days, giving you a great reason to stay an extra day or three.

Temps are supposed to be in the low 20s today, with partly cloudy skies in the morning and snow in the afternoon. We could be seeing a couple inches on the ground by final chair today.

Please be advised that we are closing in on capacity for Monday, March 2nd and Tuesday, March 3rd at the Pump House.  Anyone hoping to guarantee access, must purchase tickets online and in advance.

You Know When It’s Real…

5 days, 96"...Only @Jay!

I had been in the deep. I had been in the deeper. Nothing compared to this late season crusher at Jay. Ninety-six inches fell in just five days. Avalanche warnings off the backside aren't something common even by Jay standards. The mission was clear. The only choice was to accept.

Trammed up to the Big Jay gates, looking down on the most snow I'd ever seen. The Valentine's Day massacre seemed a mere dusting compared to this. Snowshoed out to the bounds of sanity and beyond. Strapped in. Thanked God. Let rip.

If heaven is a place on Earth, we found it that day.  I can close my eyes and find it ever since.
