Current Weather

Wednesday April 23rd, 2014 | Updated 4:07 pm

We’ll see a wintery side of April overnight (1-2” expected up top) then a warm up throughout the day tomorrow, as we work out of the low thirties into the high forties with plenty of sun.

We will be on the backside of a low pressure system, and with that comes a breeze.  Right now it’s forecasted to be north of 40 mph, but that could change by morning, so be sure to check back at a little after sunrise for the latest.  If the wind isn't an issue, we'll have seven of nine lifts spinning tomorrow.

61 trails and glades –yes, we still have glades – will be available for skiing and riding.  Most of the terrain can be reached by our grooming team, so expect machined groomed conditions there, but all other open terrain will be variable until warmer temps soften things up.

Lift tickets can be purchased at both Stateside and Tramside Customer Service locations; $69 for adults (ages 19+) and $55 for juniors (ages 6-18).

Don’t forget, next year’s Judge Season Pass is on sale now. For those that purchase now, you’ll get to ski or ride the rest of this season, as well as all of next year. Early rates expire May 12th; click HERE to learn more or call Customer Service at 802-327-2321 to purchase today.

8 Week Program

Jay Peak’s 8-Week Program has been revitalized for the 2013-14 winter season. The goal of the 8-Week Program is to provide a safe and fun environment in which young skiers and riders can have fun, learn and improve their skills that will allow them to be snow sports enthusiasts for life.

Each class will provide a mixture of instruction, exploration and free ski/ride time all under the supervision of our experienced instructors. The 8-Week Program is open to children ages 3 to 17 of any ability level.

2013-2014 Program Format:
This season starts January 11th and goes to March 16th*

Sunday Fun Day
The 8-Week Program has been moved to Sundays this season in order to provide the best program we can. (We will still be offering a limited program on Saturdays as well. Pricing and registration information is below).

Lesson Times
Morning Half Day sessions are from 9am to 12:30pm and Full Day sessions are from 9am to 3:30pm.

Where to Meet
We will now meet every weekend at our new designated meeting area in the lower level of the Tram House Lodge cafeteria.

Weekly Learning Themes
These will center on topics including using ski/board edges, turn shape, balance, stance, and exploring new terrain. Each week will feature a concentration on a certain aspect of skiing/riding.

Getting Technical
Though we’ve always known it to be important, we are putting higher emphasis on ski & riding technique this year because it allows a person “to have more fun” The better your technique, the less energy you use, and the easier it is to access more terrain. Of course there will be the focus on safety. We will be teaching kids how to enjoy the terrain at Jay in a safe and exploratory way.

Let's Party
A 2-hour long award ceremony and celebration of all your accomplishments over the course of the program.
