The Snow’s Not Leaving

4-6” of snow have fallen in the last 24 hours, with 4” more expected before lifts spin tomorrow. 67 trails are scheduled to open with 7 lifts slated to spin, starting at 8:30am for lower mountain lifts and 9:00am for Upper Mountain lifts.

Looking forward to the weekend, we plan to have 70+ trails open and all nine lift spinning. Temps are supposed to be in the low 20s with mostly sunny skies.

The Third Annual Jay Peak Trail Running Family Festival

View/Hide Photos

The annual Jay Peak Trail Fest see more than 600 runners and racers head up to Jay Peak for a weekend of sunshine, adventure, good food, and good fun. This year promises much of the same with a barbeque both on Saturday and Sunday, plenty of beverages and fun for every member of the family.

The festival is a series of trail races for all abilities (ages 4-109) over Labor Day Weekend. There are three 5Ks on Saturday: run one, two or three races rated in difficulty like your ski slopes (green circle, blue square, black diamond). You may enter all three for our "Trail Runners with Issues" award too. There is a 25K and a 50K ultra trail race on Sunday. This race series allows the beginner to the trail running nut multiple levels to compete.

Something to note: This year's festival is expected to sell-out so if you're considering heading to the mountains for the Labor Day holiday, book it sooner than later.
