Jay Explorers (Ages 3-10)
PLEASE NOTE: The Mountain Kids Adventure Center will close for the season on Sunday, March 31, 2013. All Jay Explorers lessons will meet in the mezzanine of the Tram Haus Lodge cafeteria. Jay Peak loves kids and kids love Jay Peak. The Jay Explorers program has been revitalized for the 2012+13 winter, specifically designed for 3-10 year old skiers and snowboarders at every ability and interest level. With new progression terrain on Stateside and The Mountain Kids Adventure Center (which houses our kid’s program) we’re covered both indoors and outdoors. We have also collaborated with Burton Snowboards, Disney and Snow Park Technologies to offer a one-of-a-kind Playtime Riglet Park. Kids will be matched in small groups based on their age and ability level. Lessons for kids ages 3-5 feature an hour spent inside on our indoor ski hill, learning the sensations of sliding and stopping. After their indoor time, children move outside to our 300 feet of new moving carpet and specially sculpted learning terrain. Kids ages 6-10 experience a variety of terrain choices, from our brand new sculpted terrain to our world class glades.
Please keep in mind that a child’s ability level is not based on what they ski or ride, but rather on how they ski or ride it. Lessons are given on terrain that is deemed, by the instructor, as safe and appropriate for the entire group.

Half Day Jay Explorers Lessons
2-Hour Half Day Sessions are available daily in both the morning and afternoon. Drop off time for the morning session is between 8:30 and 9am. Drop off time for the afternoon Session is between 12:30 and 1pm. Kids from the morning session must be picked up by 12pm and those in the afternoon session by 3:30. Lunch can be added to the Half Day Jay Explorers program for $10 a day.

Full Day Jay Explorers Lessons
The Full Day Jay Explorers program includes a morning and afternoon session with a break for lunch (included in the price) around noon. Drop off times for the Full Day session are between 8:30am and 9am and kids must be picked up by 3:30pm.

2012+13 Private Lessons*
1hr Kid's Private Lesson (Ages 3-10) - $70
The student-to-coach ratio in the kids program is low, but Private Lessons offer the one-on-one attention that some kids need. And parents are, of course, welcome to share the experience and maybe even pick up a few tips on how to help their kids learn. Add up to 2 additional kids for just $35 per child.
